No sums of ours: each line is a figure an Irish roofing firm or price guide publishes for that job, read on 3 November 2026 (HP Roofing's on 1 November 2026), with the VAT status as the source gives it. Where a source gives a figure for outside Dublin, Cork and Galway, that is the one shown, because Waterford is outside all three. It's a guide, never a quote. The roofer prices your roof after seeing it.

Before you compare
What changes the price
- Scaffolding: often the biggest single extra on a repair. Ask if it's in.
- Material: natural slate costs more than fibre-cement slate, which costs more than concrete tile.
- What's underneath: rotten battens, rafters or fascia found once the roof is open.
- Lead: new lead at the chimney and valleys, or the old reused.
- VAT: repair and maintenance of a house is at 13.5% (Revenue). Most figures above don't say whether it's in.
- Where you are: BookMyRoofer.ie's rest-of-Ireland figures, the ones that apply to Waterford, sit below its Dublin, Cork and Galway columns.
